Supervisor, Greenhouse / Packing Hall

We are now looking for an engaged and driven Supervisor who wants to lead a team within either the greenhouse production or the packing hall, while also participating in the daily work in our modern production. Here, you will follow the entire process – from small seedlings to finished tomatoes – and help create sustainable food production from the ground up.

About the role

As a Supervisor, you work both operationally and in a leadership capacity within either the greenhouse or the packing hall. You are responsible for planning, distributing, and following up on daily work while actively participating in the production together with the team.

You function as an present leader who supports, coaches, and develops operators in their daily work. The role requires you to combine structure and responsibility with a practical approach and good collaboration skills.

Depending on which area you are responsible for, the work will have different focuses. Within greenhouse production, responsibilities include the care and monitoring of our tomato plants, such as irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and monitoring for any pests or diseases. Within the packing hall, the focus is on planning, workflows, quality, and streamlining the packaging process.

At certain times of the year, tasks may involve both the greenhouse and the packing hall, depending on where in the cultivation and production process the business is. The role therefore requires flexibility and a holistic perspective on production.

You work closely with the Head Grower, Packing Hall Manager, and other leaders in the business to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and distribute daily work in the greenhouse or packing hall.
• Actively participate in operational work together with the team.
• Ensure that work is performed according to routines, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Support and coach operators in their daily work.
• Introduce and train new employees.
• Planning and prioritization of tasks and staffing.
• Planting, clipping, thinning, and pruning.
• Notice and report pests, diseases, and cultivation deviations.
• Work on improvements and streamlining of workflows.
• Harvesting and packaging of tomatoes.
• Forklift operation (as needed).
• Cleaning and maintenance of the greenhouse, packing hall, and work areas.
• Other tasks occurring within production.

Basic Requirements

• Valid work permit for work in Sweden.
• At least 3 years of experience in leadership or a leading role within production, logistics, greenhouse, or similar operations.
• Good physical fitness (ability to walk and stand throughout the workday).
• Clean criminal record (no entries in the criminal record register).
• Functional color vision.
• Ability to work structured and deliver high quality.

Terms of Employment

• Location: Tjärdalsvägen 6, Frövi.
• Working hours: 07:00 – 16:00 (06:00 – 15:00 during summer).
• Employment type: Probation period of 6 months with possibility of permanent employment.
• Collective agreement: Horticulture workers.
• Start: According to agreement.
